We get it! Things can be overwhelming— let’s answer some questions.

FAQs

  • Union Bridal is a Vancouver bridal boutique in Gastown, at 1414-207 West Hastings Street (fourteenth floor, buzzer 121). Our cozy studio offers a private and personalized wedding dress shopping experience. You can reach us at 604.620.6662.

  • Yes! We are by appointment only so we can give every bride our full attention. A private, one-on-one wedding dress shopping experience allows you to explore our collection with the help of a dedicated stylist.

  • Our made-to-order wedding dresses range from $1,500 to $8,000, with most falling between $3,000 and $4,500. If you have a specific budget in mind, we’re happy to guide you toward gowns that align with your vision.

  • Each bridal appointment is one hour long, giving you plenty of time to try on gowns and get a feel for what you love.

  • We understand that choosing your dress is a big decision, and you're welcome to come back for a follow-up appointment. After your third visit, a $75 fee will apply per additional appointment.

  • Right on time! We don’t have a waiting area, and we want to ensure every bride gets our full attention. Arriving at your scheduled time allows us to start your appointment seamlessly and get you into gowns as soon as possible.

  • For the best wedding dress shopping experience, we recommend bringing:
Nude undergarments (a strapless bra and shapewear if desired)
Shoes similar to what you’ll wear on your wedding day
Accessories or jewelry if you already have a vision in mind
Light makeup to keep our sample wedding gowns in perfect condition

  • Bring the people who know you best and support your vision. We recommend keeping your entourage to four or fewer, as too many opinions can sometimes make the decision overwhelming. Our space is intimate, and a smaller group ensures a comfortable experience for everyone. That said, if you’d like to bring more guests, just let us know in advance—we’ll do our best to accommodate!

  • Yes! Street parking is often available on Cambie Street, both north and south of Hastings Street. If you have trouble finding a spot, there’s a parking garage at Cambie and Pender—just one block from our boutique—with plenty of availability.

  • Your journey begins with a private, one-hour appointment where we help you find the gown that feels like yours. Once you’ve made your decision, we’ll take your measurements and place your order. A 60% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of purchase, with the remaining balance due when your dress arrives. We ask that you pick up your gown within ten days of being notified, or we can arrange shipping for an additional fee.

  • We recommend starting your dress search 9 to 12 months before your wedding and placing your order 6 to 9 months in advance. Lead times vary by designer, and rush orders may be available upon request—though additional fees will apply. If you're working with a shorter timeline, let us know, and we'll do our best to help!

  • We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and debit. If you plan on paying using your debit card, make sure to give your bank the heads up prior to your appointment so that they allow the transaction!

  • Sample sizes vary by designer and style, but never fear: we know just how to pin and clip a dress to give you a feeling of how it will fit and flow properly. Generally speaking, sample size ranges from a 6 to 10, with a handful of our gowns being available in size 16.

  • Every made-to-order gown will require some alterations so that it fits you perfectly. This could be as simple as a hem shortening, or you may require more extensive adjustments. Our designers make dresses using standard sizing based on the measurements taken at the time of the dress order. Although we don't offer in-house alterations, we do have a list of recommended tailors in Vancouver, or you can choose your own! Please note that we do not have any affiliations with any tailors, and we don't receive payment from them.  Alterations are a separate cost from the cost of your wedding gown.
